Visited with a group of friends for a day out with the lads.
Great choice for all sport enthusiasts. with televisions on all walls showing lots of sport.
Toilets are clean as is the general condition of the bar.
Specials on many drinks and with a cheap selection of fast food also available to share with friends.
I kind of ended up in Drop by accident. Whilst walking past one rainy day I was alarmed by a figure shouting and flailing their arms in a most exuberant of manners. To my surprise it was my aunty, on a quick lunch break with her workmates! I was quickly ushered in.
What I found was a real delight; not even 5 minutes walk from Central Station, this bar has a lot to offer for the unassuming passer-by in search of a quick lunch or a pint with pals. The waiting staff were very attentive, coming upstairs to our table to collect our order and bringing drinks and the like to us, saving a trip to the bar.
Having already eaten that day, I decided to be boring and opted for the Garlic Bread with Cheese, washed down with a glorious pint of Tennents. This was a fine choice, the toasted half-baguettes were springy, yet with just the right amount of crunch. The mix of Mozzarella and Cheddar to top worked really well, and it was a perfect quick bite!
The prices live up to the bars name; a definite drop compared to some places in the area, and decent enough in spite of it! I don't think a single person in our party of 4 went much over £5 (though we tipped handsomely - the service really was excellent!) and some of the others opted for much grander courses than I!
At the risk of repeating my own pun, do drop in if you're in the area! (arf arf)
Great for a boys night for the footy.
Annual Champs League final night out.
Book a table well in advance, book loads of beers for arriving book some food and let the footy do the talking.
Loads of screens, great waitresses in such a busy environment.
Looking forward to next year 👌😜
